Implant Log
The Implant Log is an internal tracking tool used to keep track of implants used, the model and serial number of the implant, and expiration dates if applicable. This tab can also be used to ensure that charges are entered for all billable implants and extraordinary supplies. To utilize this tab to bill for implants, the item must be in the IItem Master and posted toSupply Used following completion of the Implant Log tab.
- Add new implants by clicking the
New sub record icon, then
Save when data entry is completed. Once saved, the implant will be listed in the grid view to the left. Additional implants can be entered by repeating this process.
- Description is the only required tab on this field, allowing for the entry of items provided by vendor representatives (which may not yet be added to the Item Master) on the date of service, but Item Code is required to utilize this tab for the billing of implants and extraordinary supplies.
- When the Item Code is entered, all fields will populate with the data entered in the Item Master, including the Cost Per Each. Quantity will default to 1 but can be updated, as can the cost.
- Once each item entered has been saved, select
to add to Supply Used tab. (Add to Supply function will not be available for selection if implant was entered without an Item Code.)
- This information is displayed on reports:CL2003 – Implant Log and CL2006 – Infection Control.
