Real Time Eligibility

If utilizing a clearinghouse that provides Real Time Insurance Eligibility Verification (only Waystar provides this interface at this time) insurance can be verified on-the-spot from either Appointment or Registration:Insurance.  Simply click the https://demo.hstpathways.com/HstAscWebServiceWCF/Help/Images/VerifyInsurance.jpg  button. HST Practice Management will send the request to the clearinghouse immediately and return their response verifying (or denying) insurance coverage and providing current benefits.  

To utilize this function, Real Time? box must be checked in the ERA/Insurance tab in Center Configuration and the login information for the clearinghouse entered. In addition, the Submit Insurance Verification check box must be checked on the Other Configurations tab in Payer Configuration Overview. (It is only necessary to enter the Elg Payer ID if it differs from the ECS Payer ID entered on the Payer Configuration tab.)

 

 

 

To utilize, click on the button in the Appointment or the  button in Registration: Insurance.

 

 

 

  

If utilized in Appointment, a response will be immediately available, but will not be saved to the visit. If utilized in Registration: Insurance, all responses will be retained under Verification History and can be accessed by double clicking on the response.
